Michael Moore related an interesting story on
The O'Franken Factor. The release of Moore's new film,
Farenheit 9/11, has bought him a ticket on the talk show circuit, and this weekend he appeared on ABC's
This Week with George Stephanopoulos.
This Week is usually recorded live, but for Moore's interview, they asked to tape it the day before. During the interview, Moore recounted his problems with Disney's refusal to distribute the film, and also mentioned the under reported ties between Disney's Eisner and the Saudi royal family (one of the princes bailed out the financially troubled and ill conceived Euro Disney - see
Media Monkey 05/10/2004) and suggested that this may also be one of the reasons for Disney's pushback on the film. When the program aired the following day, this part of the interview was edited out. Disney owns ABC television and
This Week.
