This one cracked me up. It's a news report on a new Apple laptop which forgoes the keyboard in favor of a huge wheel. You enter letters one at a time using the wheel to scroll through letters until you get to the right one. We have an iPod, a nano, and an AppleTV, so this wheel interface is very familiar to me. The thouhgt of making that the main data input device made gave me a headache with the mere thought of it. Still, one person interviewed said he'd buy anything shiny as long as it was from Apple. Priceless.
Revelations, ruminations and rants from a media junkie strung out on bad corporate media crack. Welcome to my site.

“A popular government without popular information or the means of acquiring it, is but a prologue to a farce, or a tragedy, or perhaps both. Knowledge will forever govern ignorance, and a people who mean to be their own governors must arm themselves with the power knowledge gives.”
-James Madison
“Citizens of the democratic societies should undertake a course of intellectual self-defense to protect themselves from manipulation and control, and to lay the basis for more meaningful democracy.”
